Disclaimer, this post is written in English. There will be lots of rambling, TMIs, useless stuff I wrote. So, read at your own risk!
Hey … I’m back after … a month?? Well, here’s a stronger version of me trying to tell you stories about what is up with my life right now. I feel like I’ve never really talked about my daily life here, or just about my feelings and thoughts in general. Always been caught up in the feeling of anxiousness whenever I try to write something, it’s been a lot better tho. I couldn’t even read my old posts a few months ago, now I can!! And I don’t get anxious or feel like a disappointment!! Little secret improvement to celebrate with myself.
Well, how did that happen? I don’t know as well, part of the process of growing up, I guess? But, I did experience a bunch of new things in the past couple of months. Have I told you all that I started doing an internship in a startup company? Had to blend in with people who are 6-10 years older than me? Had to suddenly adapt from school-field to a working field? Had to use secret techniques to be able to fit in?
Well, I’ll tell you more about that in a different blog post but yes, a lot has happened. It’s kinda crazy to say that I am able to receive this big opportunity at the age of 16, truly a privilege. I got to meet people with different personalities, backgrounds, ideas, and characteristics. Experienced crazy shit that’s way too dramatic for my 16 years old existence, walked out from that crazy shit, able to be okay after, and managed to build more happy memories. It’s kinda weird to say but I’m so relieved after everything has happened, I can’t deny but I was scared.
Experiencing that at such an early age when it’s not something that I should be even facing in the next couple years was very …. hard. I won’t get into the details or the context but I hope that kinda gives you a little information about things that I was facing.
Anyways, despite that! I was able to get closer with the other folks. Just like a book I read in the Philosophy class last year titled “The Nonsense Guide to Conflict and Peace”. From that book I realised that even because of the conflicts that are happening, there will always be a positive side to it. For example, there is a conflict between housing A and housing B, I mean of course it’s not so great, right? But from another perspective, it can also be seen that it brings the residents of housing A closer together as a community, as well as housing B (i hope that makes sense). I realised that a couple months ago and now here I am experiencing it in real life. Crazy!
Hence why, yesterday I could go on a getaway trip with the bros (Mas Dian and Mas Thesa!). Haha yes, this post is made because I want to share with you all about the trip I went on yesterday with them! The others went back to their hometown for Eid Mubarak, so there were just the three of us in Jogja.
We planned on going to Parangtritis beach because … why not. I’ve literally been hanging out with them for the past week and we always hung out at the office. So, it’s time to see some nature lolll.
It was probably the randomest trip I’ve ever been on so far. We left at about 8 AM, stayed at the beach till 11, decided to rest at the office (which means we had to go all the way to the north), and at 4 pm we left to go to Bukit Bintang (Mbak Don, Mas Qq, and Mas Wahid came to join us in Bukit Bintang).
That was my first time going on an all-day trip with a motorcycle strolling around Jogja with my friends. Don’t worry! I will write a blog about yesterday’s trip in my next post (it’ll be in Indonesian tho, cause I tried writing it in English but it just doesn’t sound right). Other than that, I just had to highlight our fun conversations from talking about uni, uni majors, the intentions of going to uni, plans after working, perspective on how would you want to raise kids, how self control is really hard for men, and etc. The convo we had was probably the one that made the trip ten times more fun. The people and the conversations … ain’t it such a good way to be spending your last holiday? Having good conversations with the people you enjoy hanging out with.
Anyways, that trip ended pretty late. I got home at about 11 PM but it was so fun and I’d do it all over again. Please wait for my next post for the details of the trip, cause I’m kinda excited to share haha.
Whoops, it’s getting late. All I’m going to say is that, I’ll be trying to post more here and share with you all my stories! I hope this little intro could be a good beginning on how this blog will kinda end up looking. See you all next time, toodles!
